Responding to the call of Jesus Christ to love God and love our neighbors, the Social Action Committee parishes exist for the following reasons:
- Support parish ministries that serve those in need
- Educate the parish communities regarding principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
- Sponsor specific projects
The committee sponsors speakers on Social Justice topics, monthly bulletin column on topics of social justice. Efforts of this committee have resulted in Mental Health Ministry, the Care Team Ministry and the Outreach Ministries Commission being established in our parishes.
The Social Action Committee meets montly on the fourth Tuesday, 7:00-8:30 PM in St. Mary's Hall at Immaculate Conception Church
